Constructed in 1672 from stones salvaged from Cromwell’s fort, this historic building once served as a sanctuary for Jacobite's fleeing the Battle of Culloden. Family-friendly and fully equipped, it provides a true home away from home. Its central location is perfect for a city centre break or exploring the wider Highlands, including Loch Ness and the North Coast 500 (NC500).
Located just two minutes from the River Ness, Jacobite's Retreat is surrounded by a variety of eateries, wine bars, whisky tasting venues, and shops. A short 3-5 minute walk takes you to Inverness train and bus stations, offering direct links to Inverness Airport and beyond.Â
